Obituary of Eleanor Jean Marks

MARKS – Eleanor (nee Leitch) It is with heavy hearts the family announce Eleanor’s peaceful passing at the age of 81 on January 12, 2023.  Surrounded by family and her best friend of 62+ years, Allan.  She will be deeply missed by her four children, Kelly of Windsor, Cheryl (Brad) of St Thomas, Paul (Laurie) of Indiana and Jim of St Thomas.  Her wonderful grandchildren Marcie (Rob), Curtis (Jacky), Brennan (Katie), Stephanie (Liam), Shannon, Abby and Samantha.  World’s best Grammy to Kennedy, Fiona, Sloane, Olive, Dakota and Emily.  Eleanor is survived by her sister in law Karen (Late Tom), Allan’s sisters Anne, Donna and Carol along with numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to thank Dr. Saini of the LRCC hematology /oncology clinic along with the doctors, nurses and supporting staff at the STEGH.  Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St Thomas (519-631-0570). 

We invite all family and friends of Eleanor to join us for a graveside service on Saturday May 27, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the South Park Cemetery, 309 Sunset Dr, St Thomas.  There will be a reception following the interment at the St Thomas Anglican Church, Porter Hall 20 Flora St, St Thomas.
