I worked with Ursula as an ultrasound technologist for over 20 years. She was a mentor to me when I first started as an ultrasound tech and taught me the skills I needed to be an excellent technologist. She was patient and thorough in her work. Her kindness to her patients was definitely one of her strong points and I am inspired to be like her with my patients. I always loved chatting with her about her sons because I have sons of my own. She was so proud of them! I want to extend my sincere condolences to all of Ursula’s family and friends. She will be missed by many!

I worked with Ursula at St. Joes in the ultrasound department for 10 years. She taught me many tricks and there are things that I still do everyday that she taught me. You could tell that she loved her family dearly as she was always talking about the boys latest adventures. When she spoke of Richard, she always had a smile on her face. I have such fond memories of working with Ursula in the Radiology Department at SJHC, over the past 15 years. She was a born leader, with boundless talent and skill. She was a gentle teacher and a brilliant sonographer. I was so very saddened to hear of her passing. I will dearly miss her dazzling smile and chiding sense of humor. We are so very sorry for your loss. We have gathered with many of Ursula's colleagues and peers today to pay tribute to Ursula and reflect on her loss. Jacob and Alex, your mom was truly admired and loved by so many here in the Imaging Department at St. Joe's. She was a mentor and leader on our team, and she was a gift to the field of ultrasound. Sorry for the late reply, this is Richard Hikele,, Ursulas partner for the past 15 year's. I don't know where to begin. She loved her career, her patients, her co workers. I always reiterated to her that she is the "best" in her field. that was my opinion. She loved teaching and mentoring, she had a gift. Thanks for the beautiful poem, its not easy but knowing others deeply appreciated her means so much.

I am writing on behalf of my late wife Dr Lauren McCurdy who passed away June 2019.
Lauren worked with Ursula for many years prior to Lauren's forced retirement due to early onset dementia. She always spoke highly of all her techs in the mammography department at St Joes hospital and was very proud of all her "girls" who made the department so successful.She had a sweet spot for Ursula who she depended upon to find those very small breast lesions using Ursula's incredible diagnostic ultra sound skills.
My sincere condolences to Ursula's family and I am sure that Lauren would add much more eloquent thoughts to this
