Obituary of Gail Holster

Obituary Gail Holster (nee Elliott) Gail Holster passed away peacefully on Friday November 9th, 2018 at Parkwood Palliative Care in London. She was born June 23rd, 1941 in London, Ontario. Beloved wife of Willi (Bill) Holster and proud mother of Karl (Suzi), Dorothy (Melanie) and Heidi (Wayne). Dear sister to her loving brother Dallas (Carolyn) Elliott and loving sister Lynne Hood (Tom). Gail is predeceased by her parents Clifford and Agnes Elliott and her beloved older sister, whom she adored and missed, Dorothy Parker and her husband Jack Parker. Auntie Gail will forever be in the hearts of her nieces and nephews and their children. Remembered by her grandchildren Thomas (Kristen), Taylor (Courtney) and Michael and great grandchildren Jamie and Eldon. Also, fondly remembered and missed by her extended family in Germany. Gail graduated as a registered nurse in 1963. Her passion was taking care of others. She will be sadly missed by her nursing sisters. Thank you for all your support to dad and the family. Gail will also be missed by her many dear friends. A special thank you to the nurses, doctors and support staff at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital and Parkwood Institute Palliative Care. Your compassion and care was wonderful. “Nurses truly are angels in training.” “Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness yet become something beautiful.” At Gail’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Remains will be at the Old St. Thomas Church, scattering garden, St. Thomas, Ontario. Scattering will take place on a future date, with a celebration of life.
