Obituary of Raymond John Jones

Obituary JONES- Raymond John of St. Thomas passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 76. Ray will be missed by his wife Dianne Jones (nee Brownell) of St. Thomas; by his son Scott Jones of Toronto; by his daughter Lesley (Dan) McLellan and their children Allie, Katelyn and Grant of Komoka; by his brother-in-law Ron (Bette) Brownell of St. Thomas; and by his family members in England. Ray was born in Exeter, England, son of the late Raymond and Laura Jones. He immigrated to St. Thomas in 1954 and became the owner/operator of Glen Haven Bowling Lanes and later General Manager of Bowlerama Royale in London. After retirement, Ray enjoyed spending summers at the cottage with family and was always up for a friendly round of golf. Cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the CASO Station in St. Thomas to share stories and celebrate Ray’s life.
