Obituary of Harold Douglas Winkworth

April 7, 1951 – October 10, 2023

WINKWORTH – Harold Douglas “Wink” of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on October 10, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with ALS.

Harold is survived by his children; Tracy (Paul) Goodman, Tiffany (Ryan) Terpstra and his grandchildren; Jess, Carter and Maddy.

Harold is predeceased by his parents Dorothy (2014) and Earl (2008) Winkworth. He is survived by his siblings Ed (Trudy) Winkworth, Susan (Joe) Smith, Linda (Ron) Gardner, Dan (Tamara) Winkworth and many special nieces and nephews. Harold is predeceased by his brother Clarence Winkworth (2004).

Harold will be remembered for his love of fishing, hockey and his mechanical aptitude. Harold enjoyed giving back to his community through his volunteer work.

A special thank you to friends and family who offered support through special visits and providing meals - your kindness meant more than you know during this difficult journey. A heartfelt thank you to special friend Suanne Shaw.
