Obituary of Marie Kean

KEAN- Velva Joyce “Marie” (nee Matheson) formerly of St. Thomas, passed away with her family by her side at Bobier Villa in Dutton after a prolonged journey with Alzheimer Dementia.  Marie is survived by her loving children Niki Kean of Barrie and Ryan Kean of Iona; by her daughter-in-law Amy Kean of St. Thomas; by her grandchildren Merissa (Cam) Campbell and their children Brooks and Maddie, Kobe Kean, and Kaleb Kean; and by her many cousins.  Predeceased by her son Jeff (2016) and by her parents Leonard (1990) and Velva (2011) Matheson.  Marie retired from STEGH after an enjoyable 35-year career.  She was a tireless volunteer for MADD and Victim Services Elgin.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am.  Cremation to follow.  A private interment of ashes will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery on a later date.  If desired, donations to STEGH-Foundation would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
