David and Marg were among our favourite friends. Their kind and gentle natures were always inviting and the time spent with them, enjoying their reminiscences, talking about family, sharing a song, are among our fondest memories. In the last few years since Marg passed, and though opportunities were fewer, my wife and I enjoyed visiting David, continuing those same kinds of conversation, and looking at his paintings. It was not only always a pleasure to find him well, but in good spirits, always with a ready and welcoming smile. We will certainly miss them, until we are blessed to meet again.
