Obituary of Linda Lee Brenders

BRENDERS, Linda Lee - mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend - passed away on May 4th, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family, after a recent diagnosis of cancer.  Linda worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, serving St. Thomas / Elgin and all of Ontario.  Survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Adrian, and their sons and their families - Andrew, Kirstin, and Isaac (Houston, Texas); Ryan, Kate, and Arlo (Gananoque, Ontario), and Kyle, Jess, Felix, and Bram (Banff, Alberta).  Also survived by her mother, Bertha Vickerman, brother James and his family, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by Donald Vickerman, her father.  In keeping with Linda’s wishes, her ashes will be interred at a later date.

Linda wanted a celebration of her life with all who were touched by her loving, generous, and caring attitude to life, to be held Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at the family home.  The family is grateful to all the staff from Care Partners who cared and supported her in her last few days.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Elgin in Linda’s memory.  Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
