Obituary of John Allan Wakeling

WAKELING – John Allan of St. Thomas passed away on February 24, 2023 at the age of 66.  He will be deeply missed by his daughters Krista (Nathan Sadler) Wakeling, and Sandra (Tom) Dobrowolski.  John will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ashton, Lillian, Emma, Loghan, Sophia, and Jacob.  He will also be missed by his siblings James “Jim” (Suzanne) and Rob (Dave).  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Sandra (nee Ferby) Wakeling, and by his parents James and Florence “Sissy” (nee Tracey) Wakeling.  John was a retired Nurse at Caressant Care Bonnie Place.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment of ashes to be held in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
