Dear Knight clan,
How lucky you all have been to have been blessed with the parentage of Ray and Ev. How lucky was I, in about 1974, to have encountered Ray on joining the YMCA in St. Thomas. Soon, I was invited to join Ray and Dan Staevert in their daily jogging sessions. I was a smoker. After a few weeks of extra huffing and puffing, I began to wonder if it might be less painful to jog as a non-smoker. Thus began my now sadly ended , but most cherished friendship with the passing of Ev. Not only did I kick the smoking habit, but was blessed with forty eight years enjoyment of the company of two gracious, kind and highly respected people in the community and in their respective fields of endeavour
Not only that, but my wife and daughters all came to respect and enjoy the Knight clan as much as I have.
I hope you and yours will count your blessings as often as we will for having the good fortune to have loved and been loved by two such beautiful people.

Nancy, Scott, Todd, Corey and family;
So very sorry to read of your Mother's passing. No matter the age, it is always painful to lose a parent. As my brother Jamie said in his message, we have fond memories of the Knight family ( your Dad was always humorous as our dentist and your Mom always welcoming on social occasions such as the time we were invited to your cottage).
For 37 years, a watercolour done by your Mother and provided as a wedding gift has hung in my office and I look at it everyday. She was a talented lady and I know she will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom, Nancy. She was an inspiration to so many artist and painting brought her so much joy in life. I am so glad they had the show of her work at STEPAC. It brought back pleasant memories of a weekend at your cottage..I am sure her art will bring back wonderful memories to you and your family. Hugs ❤️

Very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother........our parents were great friends through the years, your Dad was our Dentist. Your Mom at 97 had a long productive fulfilling life. Dear Corey, Donna and Knight family. In my early years of hanging around the Knight family, Evelyn always made me feel very welcome when I was a visitor in your home. She always was asking about how you and your family were doing with genuine interest. Linda and I still to this day have a beautiful painting that Evelyn did for us for our wedding present. I had the privilege and honour to meet Evelyn at an Alma College reunion in Bermuda in 2009 or 2010. Age difference - Yes - did it matter NO - we laughed, ate, drank, shopped and danced and truly enjoyed each other’s company - she was an inspiration of the enjoyment of life - a very special memory for me to retain in the happy file. She always said she had a wonderful life and family for which she was very grateful and such a wonderful talent which I am glad to have an original in my possession. RIP dear friend from Alma! Evelyn and Ray were our neighbours for many years. We were very sad when they moved from our neighborhood. There was never a shortage of good conversation and the odd story. 30 Trevithick Terrace has never been the same and never will be. Evelyn and Doc are together again. Our condolences to all of the Knight families.
