My heartfelt condolences go out to Linda’s family, friends and coworkers. Many years ago, Linda was my preceptor in the ICU at SJHC during my final clinical placement for my nursing degree at Western. I could not have wished for a better person to support me as I consolidated my nursing skills in a challenging clinical environment. Linda was kind, generous and showed such enthusiasm for critical care nursing as she shared her knowledge with me. I remember her attention to detail, her compassion for her patients and families and her ability to advocate for them when they were at their most vulnerable. I looked forward to working with Linda at my side – her positive attitude and her commitment to excellence helped me learn and grow as a nurse. She was a great role model who set a high standard for nursing care and helped me to build the confidence to begin my nursing career in critical care. She will be missed.
Sincerely,
Eleanor Marris Rogers

I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news today. My best memories of Linda are all the times we just sat talking a mile a minute and making each other laugh. She dropped by a few months ago and we sat outside on my porch and caught up on things and promised we'd get together once COVID was over and go out for dinner. I can't believe we'll never have the chance to do that. She was a wonderful person and I will cherish the times we had together. My deepest condolences to her family.

I was lucky enough to live next door to the Holland Family growing up. They became my extended family and I spent countless hours at their house playing, eating dinner, watching TV, swimming etc. Linda was like my big sister always there when you needed her and always with that beautiful smile and laugh. I cherish those memories! Sending my heartfelt condolences to Linda’s husband and daughters as well as all the Holland’s . May she Rest In Peace . God Bless!

I only knew Linda for a short time while she worked at CBS. I liked her immediately. She was kind, encouraging, happy and smart. She had the greatest laugh. She had only been there a short time and offered to have a baby shower for myself and one of the other nurses who was expecting. I was so thankful for her kindness. I send my deepest condolences to her family. I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you. Glenyce Gillam (RN)

Mike, Michaela, Breanne and Laurel,
It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Linda. We would always know at each family gathering that Linda would be smiling, welcoming, personable and approachable to all in attendance. Once having a family member undergo surgery, Linda was our supporting RN. Her professionalism, commitment to care and reassurance gave my family great comfort in a time of stress. She was an incredible person who will truly be missed.

To the Keogh family ... my prayers for you all during this difficult time. I got to know your Mom (and Laurel) when you lived across the street from my sister on Steeplechase. Your Mom was so warm and kind ... I felt like I knew her well even though we only spoke a few times. I always looked forward to our chats. To Laurel ... you put a tiny pink ribbon sticker on my sister's garage door many years ago ... it is still there ... I think of you when I see the ribbon and will continue to think of you during the days, weeks and months ahead.

Dear Keogh Family: Mike and girls:
Thinking of you all with heavy hearts in your loss. Linda was a good friend and co worker. We shared many good times at work at St Joe's and beyond that. Her kind nature and the way she laughed - well everyone knows that. She was a great nurse and cared for her patients with kindness and skill. Those under her care were very lucky..
Most of all she loved her family.
May the grace of god's peace and surrounding love of His arms surround you in your grief.
Much love and prayers

I have known Linda since grade 5. There are so many memories I don’t even know where to begin except that we shared a lifetime together. We went to grade school high school and graduated university together and managed to stay in each others lives through all the busyness of life’s ups and downs. We sure had a lot of fun. To Linda's family and friends...
I worked with Linda in Post Anaesthesia Care Unit. She was lovely and gracious to me. I remember her as a gentle and caring nurse, as well as a great leader. Linda and I attended a Josh Groben concert together and I will never forget what a fun night we had. It was last minute, on a whim, adventure! I saw her a few weeks ago and it was so nice to run into her and see her smiling face. Her kindness was contagious.
I am so sorry....

Mike ,Michaela, Breanne and Laurel,
I am so saddened to hear of Linda's passing. I am not sure if you remember me but I lived across the street when your family lived on Steeplechase. Linda was one of the kindest women I had ever met. She put everyone before herself. Especially her family. We would have endless chats across the court often joking how there was a million things we should be doing. After your family moved I would run into Linda and we could pick up right where we left off. When she moved a shining star left the street. Today, a shining star has left this earth. I pray you find strength in the memories she worked so hard to build for your family.

My name is Dwayne Edgar. I am a school bus driver and have driven Breanne and Laurel to school for the past 3 years. Linda was spoken to rudely by an irate customer in a wheel chair at Shoppers Drugmart on December 24. As I came out with my purchases in the parking lot she was loading her vehicle as well. She proceeded to tell me about the irate customer in shoppers and she was talking about her nursing career and I told her about that I was a bus driver. She did not realize that I was her kids bus driver and she thanked me for the job that I do and I thanked her for the job that she does. I was shocked to read her obituary today. To the family of Linda-I am sending my condolences to her husband and her kids. God bless you all during this difficult time and hoping you find comfort in the coming days that your wife/mother was definitely to be a nice, kind lady.

Linda loved her daughters. As a mother, she felt grounded, encouraging her daughters to do their best at home and at school, and follow the rules to keep them safe. She was happy her daughters, who are transitioning into adulthood, are becoming independent, strong-minded young women. Independence and strength is built from a mother’s love. Before Linda became a mother, she put her heart and soul into nursing. Linda was very proud of being a registered nurse with a university degree, and having served as the president of the Ontario PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association from 1997-1999. Linda set high standards for herself, always striving to give her patients textbook perfect care. Linda knew that with over 3 decades of PeriAnesthesia nursing she had a lot of experience and knowledge to do even more for patients. Linda had ambitions of wanting to become a nurse practitioner, knowing this would require additional university education. Linda defined herself as a nurse. Linda embodied the essence of nursing. Linda gave all of herself to everyone else. The love Linda had for others did not always envelope herself. Linda recently shared a pearl of wisdom with me, which a therapist once shared with her, “Most women seek love.” Linda wished most of all, that everyone would 'just be nice'.
