How saddened I was to read of your Dad’s passing. Hold on tight to the treasured memories of your “special Dad” and they will be your anchor today, and always. It was our pleasure when you moved to St Thomas that your Dad chose to check our housing listing. Maybe you remember your next door neighbour, Brenda and her boys Tyler and Jason. The Jim Leddy name is very familiar as I worked with Dad Jim and Grandma Anna at Clark Equipment for many years.

My sympathies to the family of Bob. Even though my husband Ralph and I never met any of the children of Bob, we spent many times at Bob's house with Bible Study. Bob's faith was always very evident in everything he said and did. We loved coming to church at Fellowship Church and being greeted by Bob. He made coming to church so welcoming. Will be thinking of you in the coming days. Tina Vyn

I knew Bob for most of my 15 years at Freightliner / Sterling. I think one word best describes Bob, and that was genuine. Bobs spirit was genuine. He was usually laughing or had a smile on his face. He was always willing to help wherever needed. Bob loved being around people, because he had a heart for people, and recognized the importance of that. Thanks Bob for your help over the years and your friendship. God Bless!

I moved from Windsor to St. Thomas specifically for the job at Freightliner. I came up alone and brought my wife and children a short while later. Bob was one of the first people I met and no one “worked” harder to make me feel welcomed, appreciated and put me at ease during those first “90 Days”. Our youngest had just started to walk & I had actually missed his 1st steps during that time, our oldest was just starting school, so it goes without saying that a “90 day probation” felt like the biggest gamble I had ever taken. Bob was one of the first to consistently go out of his way to re-assure me that I was going to be fine. I saw him on occasion in and around St. Thomas. My wife & I eventually settled the family in Aylmer & as the years moved on, bumping into Bob was always like seeing an old friend. I am always so very grateful for his genuine goodness and the kind man that always made me feel that my happiness and my family was far more important than the trucks we were building.
