Deepest condolences to the whole family. Russell was clearly a family man and always welcomed me into your home with a smile. I'm sure his heart was full of love & pride raising the family that he did. "Family Values" are the two words that come to mind first & foremost. Russ was one of the Parkside family. Always cheerful, always helpful, he was an important and appreciated part of the Parkside fabric. Parkside was a special place and he was a part of what made it special. Condolences to his family whom should be very proud of the example he set and the life he lived.

Russ was a wonderful part of our staff at Parkside. Anything that I needed done for my classroom was quickly taken care of by Russ and he took great pride in keeping our school spotless. He loved to visit and talk about his family and he always asked about mine. My condolences to his family.

I always enjoyed working with Russ during my years at Parkside. He took such pride in his role at the school, and set a tone that was infectious with the entire staff and student body. A life well lived and much appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss. Russ took care of all of us at Parkside for many years and was a man who took pride in a job well done. We would always see him hurrying down the PCI halls, on his way to deal with whatever fresh disaster had occurred. I didn't realize until I read the obituary that I taught two of his incredible granddaughters, Pyper and Rayne. My sincere condolences to the family.

I had the good fortune and honour to work along side Russ at Parkside CI. Russ was such a caring man who treated everyone with respect and exhibited integrity in the job he did so well. He was greatly appreciated by both staff and students. He truly cared about Parkside CI and made it one of the best places to work! My condolences to the family. Linda Armstrong.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of my old friend. When I started with the Elgin County Board of Education I had the pleasure of being assigned to Parkside with Russell for two weeks. After that I moved on to other schools and eventually worked with Your Dad / Husband in the same capacity as he at West Elgin, East Elgin, Voaden and Central. He did not always show it bu he was an honest, caring person that would give you his shirt if it meant you would be warm. The students and Staff at Parkside held a special place in his heart. My memories are fond and I am sure Russ will be missed.

It just breaks my heart that my sister and my nieces and nephews and all my greats and great greats are experiencing this loss.
